EME Risk and Assurance Manager, Global Real Estate Company, £70,000 - £90,000, Central London
Are you an experienced risk and assurance professional looking to take on a regional leadership role? I am seeking a Risk and Assurance Manager to oversee and strengthen this company’s risk framework across mainland Europe and the wider EMEA region. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a dynamic team in a leading real estate advisory firm.
  
Key Responsibilities
  • Responsible for the Risk framework across mainland Europe and wider EMEA remit.
  • Overseeing risk management activities, including communication, coordination, reporting, and follow-ups with local teams.
  • Reviewing annual Self-Assessment Questionnaire (SAQ) submissions, identifying gaps, and agreeing on corrective actions.
  • Consolidating and reviewing European country risk registers.
  • Managing compliance initiatives driven by group, third-party bodies, or country/EU regulators.
  • Conducting country visits to review and audit processes, ensuring alignment with Group policies.
  • Providing support and guidance to local teams on risk and compliance matters.
  • Tracking and managing open actions from internal audits, SAQs, and country reviews.
  • Coordinating key reporting submissions, including Health & Safety, Environmental Sustainability, Insurance, and Whistleblowing.
  • Liaising with Group Legal, Risk, and Internal Audit teams to ensure compliance and best practices.
  • Supporting policy implementation across Finance, AML, Anti-Bribery, Property Management, Valuations, and emerging regulations.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Qualified Chartered Accountant (ACA, CIMA, ACCA or equivalent) with at least 5 years’ post-qualification experience.
  • Ideally experience in a Top 8 accounting firm.
  • Background in internal audit and/or compliance.
  • Experience in Real Estate or Professional Services is highly desirable.
  • Strong commercial awareness with a proactive risk management mindset.
  • Technical expertise in IFRS and financial reporting.
