Do you have advanced MS Excel skills to Macro or VBA level?
Are you available on 2 weeks notice or less?
  
We are partnering with a Global Asset Manager who operate across 16 markets with $250billion of Assets under their management. Based out of stunning city offices, they need an Interim Analyst to join them for 3-6 months to work with the Financial Controller
  
£250 - £280 p/day inside IR35 via Umbrella
  
**Please note this role requires someone in the office 5 days a week and the priority in this role is someone with adavanced MS Excel rather than accounting**
  
Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain robust Excel models to process Trade Blotter data.
  • Apply accounting logic to generate DR/CR journal entries from trade data.
  • Reconcile trade-related entries with the general ledger.
  • Generate monthly Trial Balance reports for management review.
  • Collaborate with the accounting team to ensure proper data mapping between Excel files and the accounting system.
  • Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports as required.
  • Support data quality checks and implement error-handling procedures within Excel files.
  
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including:
  • Advanced formulas (e.g. VLOOKUP, INDEX/MATCH, SUMIFS).
  • Pivot tables and data transformation.
  • Basic VBA (optional but advantageous).
  • Understanding of accounting principles, particularly double-entry bookkeeping.
  • Experience working with large data sets and reconciling financial data.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines.
