Head of Finance 

• Interim for 6 months 
• Fractional for c2/3 days per week
• London – 1 day a week working in Central London 
• £450 - £550 per day LTD (outside IR35)
• Sectors considered: music, gaming, licensing and publishing

We are seeking a senior finance leader to join a start-up business on their growth journey in a newly created role as Head of Finance.
  
Working alongside the Founder’s and taking on the management of the outsourced bookkeeping service, this is the first finance hire and lead on establishing a fit for purpose finance structure now and for scalable growth for the years to come. 

This is a lean team, in a relatively complex commercial business, where everyone is trusted to own their discipline and deliver with light touch management. 

Initial tasks & responsibilities:

• Leadership of the outsourced bookkeeping relationship, managing the workload and developing processes. 
• Implement a new month end reporting process, including profit & loss, balance sheet and cashflow forecast, board packs, KPI dashboards, and performance analyses. 
• Manage cash flow, working capital, and treasury activities to support growth and stability.
• Implement efficient workflows for revenue tracking, royalty reporting, and multi‑market compliance.
• Act as a trusted advisor to the Founders and leadership team, influencing strategic decisions with data‑driven insights.

Skills and Qualifications

• Qualified Accountant, who has operated at FC/HOF in a small business.
• Available for 2 (possibly 3) days a week
• You will only be considered if you have a background in a relevant sector such as music, gaming, licensing and publishing 
• Ability to work with a high level of trust and with autonomy and independence 
• Hands‑on, adaptable, and comfortable operating in a fast‑moving, entrepreneurial business
• Intermediate/Advanced Excel
