Group Finance Manager | Hybrid - Central London | £65-75,000 | Permanent, full-time About the Role: We are supporting a fast-growing, private equity-backed multinational FMCG group to recruit a Group Finance Manager into their central finance function. This is a key role supporting group reporting, consolidation and external reporting across a complex, multi-entity, multi-currency environment.
The position plays a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of monthly consolidated results, statutory reporting and compliance with accounting standards. The successful candidate will work closely with senior finance leadership, divisional finance teams and external auditors, while contributing to the ongoing development of group-wide controls and reporting processes.
Key Responsibilities: - Lead and own the month-end close process for head office entities, including monitoring spend versus budget and providing variance analysis.
- Support group consolidation activities, including intercompany accounting, results certification and lease accounting.
- Debt and PE (Private Equity) owner reporting - responsible submission of quarterly and annual banking compliance certificates and monthly submissions to Private Equity owner
- Review divisional submissions to ensure accuracy, completeness and compliance with group accounting policies.
- Prepare regular financial submissions and compliance reporting for lenders and shareholders.
- Support the onboarding of newly acquired businesses, including purchase price allocation and business combination accounting.
- Assist with internal and external audit matters, acting as a key contact for internal and external audit queries, owning specific audit workstreams and responding to follow-up requests.
- Provide technical accounting support on complex matters under IFRS and local GAAP
- Work closely with other head office functions (e.g. tax, ESG) to support monthly and annual reporting requirements.
- Contribute to improvements in group-wide financial controls, processes and reporting timelines.
- Maintain documentation for key reconciliations and control processes
Experience & Qualifications: - Qualified Accountant (ACA / ACCA) with ideally 2 years PQE in a group role.
- Strong IFRS knowledge with hands-on group consolidation experience.
- Proven experience in multinational/multi-currency consolidation.
- Advanced Excel skills and strong systems aptitude; experience with consolidation or ERP systems is an advantage.
- Confident communicator with the ability to influence and collaborate across multiple stakeholder groups.
- Proactive, resilient and driven to improve processes and controls.
